Is this what it felt like when those guys discovered Bali back in the 1970s? We had a little help from Instagram and swell reports to know the general direction to point our compasses. But actually getting to the sets of unridden perfect points in Sri Lanka— by train, tuk tuk, boat and on foot—felt like we were transported back in time.
Our Canon AE1 and little Olympus Stylus film cameras became the record of in-between moments... the seconds between the DSLR shots when your friend thinks the camera’s not rolling and when we were just goofing off on the side. We didn’t care if they would amount to anything worth thousands of likes but through the chemistry of light, film, and timing these stills spoke a thousand shining from our hearts.
Featuring photographers and subjects shooting each other: Luki O’Keefe, Lola Mignot, Karina Rozunko and Sierra Lerback.

Beautiful concept and photos- the imperfections make them even better! Love that you captured real surfers out on adventure.
